RYUSENKEI, the city pop group led by Cunimondo Takiguchi, returns as a unit fronted by new singer Sincere as an official member. New album Illusions comes hot on the heels of Sincere's addition, forming their first release on the Alfa Music label. Formerly known as Kanji, the newly reformed all-caps name RYUSENKEI likewise heralds this change in sound and membership. Led by such mega-smooth city pop shoulder-shakers as 'Super Generation' and 'Tricot', Illusions is an album full of optical night-driven fantasies, fixated on the city of Tokyo as a romantic vision; a dream from which we do not wish to wake.
